Accessing your own wisdom in a coaching conversation
What is individual coaching?
Individual coaching offers you the opportunity to work on real challenges, using the knowledge and skills of a coach. Together we learn to help you access wisdom and develop best practice.
How does it work?
We agree how best to work together, but typically, we meet for 1.5 – 2 hours at regular intervals. This can be over a short or long period, it can even be a one-off. It can be face to face and it can be over the phone. Usually you decide what you’d best like to use the time for before arriving: to think through a business issue, a leadership challenge or how to manage a tricky team member; or it could be more personal as you lead up to a transition, like retirement or returning to work after an absence. The depth and range of issues grows as we work more together, and so it can be that you talk about something completely different from the one you thought you would.
Who is it for?
Individuals who value the opportunity to meet in a confidential environment. Where there is no agenda, where you can talk freely, hear yourself think, be asked questions that unlock your options. Really to help you find a clearing, a space, in the crowded world we occupy. It helps you hold yourself accountable to yourself for the decisions and actions you want to take.
We’ve tackled some essential issues that are bearing fruit across the whole organisation. Thank you.
Take stock of where you are as a team and explore the dynamics to discover your motivation and commitment to working productively together. I will help you agree how to hold yourselves accountable to each other.
Pausing even for an hour can have huge benefits. It can help you see the wood for the trees, put things back into perspective, bookend the week, build in a rhythm, help you re:set, see things afresh. For you, and definitely for the benefit of others around you.
